City of Chicago Adjusts Local Minimum Wage Standards

Back in 2014, Mayor Rahm Emanuel passed a City of Chicago ordinance which called for the steady increase in minimum wage standards for employers whose business facility is within City of Chicago limits and/or those employers who are required to carry a City of Chicago business license. The rates are as follows:

1)  January 1st, 2016 - $10.50/hr
2) January 1st, 2017 - $11.00/hr
